Grand Cayman Island

Grand Cayman is the largest of the Cayman Islands, a British Overseas Territory in the Caribbean. George Town, its capital, is home to the Cayman Islands National Museum, dedicated to Caymanian heritage. The city is also a major cruise-ship port and site of the ruins of colonial-era Fort George. Beaches and vibrant coral reefs are the island’s hallmarks. Popular activities are snorkeling, turtle conservation, swimming with dolphins, and manta ray feeding at Stingray Sandbar.

Puerto Limon, Costa Rico

Tortuguero Canal and Cahuita National Park are popular places to visit. There are rainforests around and interesting wildlife are sloths, monkey, and birds.

Panama Canal

The Panama Canal is an artificial 82-kilometer (51-mile) waterway in Panama that connects the Caribbean Sea with the Pacific Ocean. 

Manta, Ecuador

Manta is a city in Ecuador, cantonal head of the Manta Canton, as well as the largest and most populated city in the Manabí Province.  It is a good place to do birding tour. It is the origin of Panama Hat.

Lima, Peru

Lima is the capital and largest city of Peru. There are a lot of activities you can do, most famously for Inka culture. Please refer to my blog on Peru in South America regions for more. During 2 1/2 days the cruise ship was docked at Lima, I visited some well maintained Spanish colonel houses and buildings, and took a wildlife tour. The wildlife tour at Palomino Island amazing! The sea lions are very active. If you were a swimmer, the sea lions will swim very close to you! There are many penguins and sea birds too. I particularly liked the Peruvian dances from three regions of Peru, the coast, the Andeans, and the Amazon. The Paso horse show was fabulous!

Easter Island, Ecuador

Easter Island, a Chilean territory, is a remote volcanic island in Polynesia. Its native name is Rapa Nui. It’s famed for archaeological sites, including nearly 900 monumental statues called moai, created by inhabitants during the 13th–16th centuries. The moai are carved human figures with oversize heads, often resting on massive stone pedestals called ahus. Ahu Tongariki has the largest group of upright moai.
